LAKOTA'S ENRICHMENT AND ACADEMIC

DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS

​​To partner with the Lakota teachers, administration, and the School Board, to ensure Lakota students receive every learning opportunity available.


To identify, provide, and/or sponsor enriching academic and social opportunities for the gifted students of the Lakota School District.


To create a venue for communication and interaction among the parents of Lakota’s gifted students. 

OUR MISSION

LEADS is a parent affiliate of the Ohio Association for Gifted Children (OAGC). LEADS exists to provide enrichment opportunities for students and families in the district and to support families on their gifted education journey.

For only $10 per year, LEADS families will have access to the following resources and tools to support their gifted children:

  • PARENT CONNECT—LEADS education series about Lakota services and other gifted resources (see website for past series topics)
  • BOOK CLUB—Grade-level appropriate enrichment groups (Grades 2-4, 4-6) for true book lovers*
  • FAMILY ADVENTURE CLUB-Join other families to explore local fun and educational settings*
  • COMMUNITY RESOURCE/ENRICHMENT INFORMATION—Receive resources for enrichment throughout the region
  • OUT-OF-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT—Time to connect with other families, sometimes for fun—sometimes for learning (family picnic, games night and others); Write Challenge Writing Competition, Pi Day

    *We are currently in need of volunteers to take on Book Club and/or Family Adventure Club.
