Pi Day Planning Committee

Pi Day is planned and run by a small group of parents. We are looking for new committee members to help keep Pi Day a success. The committee has limited meetings since the majority of our work can be completed via email. We need to grow our committee in order to help grow Pi Day.

Please contact LakotaPiDay@gmail.com if interested.

Pi Day returns to Lakota East High School

New to Pi Day?
Check out the video from 2020 to see what it's all about!

LOTS OF EXHIBITORS, LOTS OF HANDS-ON FUN!

There will be a large variety of exhibits and hands on experiences for everyone. Of course everyone's favorite, The Brain, will return. Yes, you will learn about and even TOUCH a real human brain. Don't worry if you don't want to touch a brain, there will be plenty more to do. You can try: archery, astronomy, arts & crafts, and much more. You can learn about robotics, orienteering, and even pet furry animals. There are far too many math and science activities to even begin to list them here.

FOOD AND FUN!

You're sure to work up an appetite during all of the hands on activities. Not to worry, there will be several food trucks cooking up some delicious food. They will be located in front of the building with seating in the auxiliary gym. You will be able to purchase drinks and pies (it is Pi Day after all!).

There will also be some wonderful raffle baskets in the main hallway. Be sure to take a look as all of the basket contents are generously donated by our wonderful exhibitors.
